The Atlantic Fellowship accelerates its members' capacity to achieve systems-level change toward fairer, healthier, more inclusive societies. Learn about their impact and their commitment and passion for equity.
Becoming part of the Atlantic Fellows community is a transformative experience for Fellows, and in turn propels change in the organizations and communities they serve. Making an impact begins with a period of transformative learning for Fellows, who then catalyze social and societal change by working as individuals or in collaboration with others.
The Atlantic Fellows programs and the Atlantic Institute deliver content and experiences to Fellows that stimulate critical analysis and debate which is inclusive, productive and leads to transformative outcomes. Fellows participate in leadership curricula, convenings and residencies with compassion and the courage to understand and be open to others’ perspectives and experiences. Fellows gain new insights, skills and understandings about themselves and the root causes of inequities while reflecting on and evolving strategies to create a better world.
The Atlantic Institute and the seven programs convene together to connect and strengthen the global Atlantic Fellows community. Fellows share learning and knowledge while bridging differences and committing to action. They identify pressing equity-related issues, unpacking some of the problems to be addressed. They combine efforts across disciplines and geographies to design solutions, reimagine values-based leadership and test strategies to reduce inequities and create systemic change.
Fellows are introduced to a wider ecosystem that includes other values-led global Fellowships such as the Rhodes Scholarship. Acting together, they enact change. By working with other organizatons and fellowships, they apply new perspectives and enhance creativity, leadership skills and insights that can benefit their own communities or the organizations they serve. Atlantic Fellows actively work together to change social structures and policy, shift narratives and build movements for a fairer world.
