In October 2019, some 19 Atlantic Fellows travelled to Jordan to see first-hand the impact of displacement on refugees. Hosted by the Atlantic Institute and co-designed with Atlantic Fellow for Equity in Brain Health, Tala Al-Rousan, the forum brought together Fellows from across the seven global Atlantic programs to collaborate and have a positive impact on the issues of displacement and migration. During their time in Jordan, the Fellows met some Syrian students from Zaatari refugee camp who had recently lost their university funding and were unable to complete their education. Here’s a flavor of what transpired that week.
