Brian Lawlor, the site director of the Global Brain Health Institute (GBHI), has been elected as a Member of the Royal Irish Academy (RIA). The RIA celebrated Admittance Day on May 24, officially admitting 28 new members for their outstanding contributions across various fields, including sciences, humanities, and social sciences, as well as their service to the public.In addition to his role at GBHI, Brian Lawlor is the Conolly Norman Professor of Old Age Psychiatry. He is a leading figure nationally and internationally in dementia research and care, and a member of the World Dementia Council. His extensive contributions to the field include co-founding the GBHI at Trinity College, Dublin, and at UC San Francisco.
