Our Seven programs
Advancing fairer, healthier, more inclusive societies requires values-based, solutions-oriented and influential people, who are culturally and professionally diverse, to learn from one another and collaborate on solutions. The problems that the Atlantic Fellows seek to address are complex and systemic in nature and larger than any one person, community, or nation can effectively address alone or in the short-term. To allow for sustained interactions, relationships and progress, Atlantic Fellowship is lifelong, with ongoing engagement in the community over time.
The Atlantic Institute supports lifelong community among Atlantic Fellows. We provide access to resources and opportunities for Fellows to connect, learn and act together to address the underlying systemic causes of inequity. We promote collaboration and shared approaches across Atlantic Fellowship programs, and connect Fellows to a broader network of equity-oriented initiatives. Raising global awareness of Atlantic Fellows work also amplifies its impact.
Atlantic Fellows are courageous, compassionate, and collaborative thinkers and doers who collectively seek to bring lasting improvements to their communities and the world. They come from all walks of life and are in proximity to the world’s most pressing inequities. As accomplished leaders they work in diverse settings, professions, disciplines and contexts - all committed to working together to think, learn, incubate and implement strategies to reduce inequities. They act on systemic problems from multiple perspectives to more effectively address the root causes rather than the symptoms.
