Journalist Priyanka Kotamraju talks about the role of collective confidence in empowering marginalized women in India. Co-hosted by author psychologist and neuroscientist Professor Ian Robertson and broadcaster Fionnuala Sweeney , Conversations on Confidence hears from people around the world from all walks of life about their experiences of, and challenges with, confidence.

Tracey Naledi, founding Chairperson, Tekano, Atlantic Fellows for Health Equity in South Africa describes how early childhood adversity spurred her on to achieve her goal of working in medicine. Conversations on Confidence explores how confidence results from both nature and nurture, how it is affected by race, gender and socio-economic status, and how it can be lost and regained.

Indigenous activist Harold Ludwick reflects on how being articulate helped him stand up for himself, providing a small but important victory in his personal fight against racism. Based in Australia, Harold realized from a young age the lack of social and economic equity for Aboriginal people.

Neurologist Boon Lead Tee, reflects with Professor Ian Robertson, and journalist Fionnuala Sweeney on how confidence is expressed across various cultural settings and how this is an important factor in working together as a global community in her work tackling dementia.
